Preliminary Injunction is GRANTED

Today the Hon. Pat M. Donofrio of the Michigan Court of Appeals granted the Plaintiffs’ motion for a preliminary injunction.  A copy of the press release distributed by MiCGA and the Opinion and Order can be found by clicking here.

Charities who have had their licenses denied, returned, or cancelled should contact the Michigan Gaming Control Board on Monday and immediately resubmit them.  The judge indicated they must maintain the status quo until a trial on the merits can be conducted.

Locations who were closing have a reprieve until a resolution to this matter has been accomplished.

The MiCGA will continue over the coming weeks to press members of the House of Representatives to take up SB878 for a vote before Summer Break.  More information will be distributed to members as it becomes available.
